Starting at the top left is the main ‘Graphics’ tab and here you can adjust many of the graphic options for MGE XE and your Morrowind game. Confusing.īut anyway have a look over it and i will run through some of the things you can see.
I have also shown the screen that appears when you use the ‘Distant land generator wizard’ button within the ‘Distant Land’ tab. That is a confusing composition of each screen as you go through the top tabs of ‘Graphics’, ‘Distant Land’, ‘InGame’, ‘Config’ and ‘Instructions’. It will open its menu that looks like the first tab on the top left of the following blurry screenshot Run (double click) MGEXEgui which will be in your main \Morrowind directory.
Handy Morrowind info websites: That can contain spoilers so be careful where you look! The main Bethesda forums is great for sorting out technical issues, or mod problems etc, and UESP is full of handy info on all aspects of the game, including how to ‘win’, so don’t poke around too much there, just go for the info you are after. So tinker away using online guides and see what you can break…i mean make better :) It is good to get to know your ini file, what effects what in the game etc. So in general i don’t look to add all the tweaks that people were doing 10 years ago or so, just a couple i listed above in the ‘General’ section, and you can get more detail in the links i provided. However probably the performance increase you actually get from your ini, especially on modern systems is small. Continued abuse of our services will cause your IP address to be blocked indefinitely. In the past many people would see the ini (myself included) as the key to getting Morrowind to run faster than 20fps, and sometimes on very rare occasions you could tweak the ini to achieve this.
